LARP? What is it?
Larp stands for LiveActionRolePlay.
This is a special form of role-playing game in which the players, similar to a pen & Paper RPG ( Dungeons and Dragons, Shadow-Run) or computer games (e.g. Skyrim, World of Warcraft, Assassin's Creed), for the duration of a Larp event (so-called convention, con), into a self-imagined character role Hatch.
With this fictional character (warrior, magician, elf etc.) you develop your own story together with other players, similar to improvisational theatre, within a given framework. All actions have an impact on the gameplay. The game story (plot) develops spontaneously and intuitively.
Larps can be found on all sorts of base scenarios, the most popular of which is certainly fantasy (e.g. The Lord of the Rings, Eragon, Game of Thrones). There are also many other genres, such as steam punk, science fiction or western.
Warum nutzt ihr LARP für eure Events?
Our participants receive a well-founded, matured over more than fifteen years Larp training. That means they learn how to play larp well. But we offer much more than that. Our innovative approach, which combines hero coaching and larp, gives our participants a glimpse of their inner potential, their hero or heroine. Through Larp, the players have the opportunity to step out of their everyday role and try out what it's like to be someone completely different. The adventures and challenges that we present to the players are designed in such a way that they can only be solved with the help of many skills, from classic soft skills such as teamwork to more unusual skills such as negotiation tactics.
LARP serves us as the primary method, among other things, because you can gain experience by changing roles in a protected space without having to be afraid of real consequences and you get a new perspective on familiar situations.

Most ECW events play inSelbion, a fictional, fantastical world roughly set in the Middle Ages. Accordingly, the players choose an "alias", i.e. a character that they want to portray and that fits into the time - this could be a warrior, a healer or a magician be - or any other character that you can and want to implement in a playful way.
There will definitely be fightinh and magic. But don't worry: Our swords are made of foam; they look very dangerous because of their paintwork, but they are soft and completely harmless. In addition, most of our weapons carry the german TÜV seal of approval.
Anyone who brings along a lively imagination and enjoys playing with others is already well prepared; special previous knowledge is not necessary. However, a certain interest in fantasy and history does not hurt.
